The most embarrassing sound a C5 can make is when the headlight motor plastic gears are stripped out. If your headlights make the loudest grinding noise you have ever heard then you need to have them rebuilt with brass or hard anodized aluminum gears. This is a much better solution than buying new headlight motors and is considerably cheaper and longing lasting.
